USA: Frisby and Kayser-Roth Reach Agreement On Sock Deal

Frisby Technologies, Inc (NASDAQ: FRIZ), the developers of ComforTemp®DCC(TM)dynamic thermal control materials, announced today that it has reached an exclusive licensing agreement with Kayser-Roth Corporation, the second largest hosiery producer in the US, to sell and distribute a broad new line of hiking, outdoor and athletic socks.

Under the agreement, Kayser-Roth and Frisby will collaborate on new sock designs which are expected to be available at leading retailers nationwide this fall. The parties will also implement a high impact marketing strategy to include in-store displays, cooperative advertising and promotional efforts designed to achieve superior retail sell-through.

The new socks will be exclusively manufactured and distributed by Kayser-Roth under their Prima-Sport® and other brand names, and will carry the ComforTemp® trademark. The construction and design of the sock has been optimized to provide maximum comfort when worn with shoes or boots containing ComforTemp®.

These new products are expected to be introduced to retailers at two of this month\'s leading industry trade events: The Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City and The Magic Show in Las Vegas.

Kayser-Roth is the second largest legwear manufacturer and distributor in the US. Based in Greensboro, NC, Kayser-Roth operates four plants and two distribution centers in North Carolina and Tennessee.

Kayser-Roth produces a number of major legwear brands such as PrimaSport® Socks, Timberland® Socks, and Calvin Klein® Hosiery. Other products include private label programs for major retailers. Kayser-Roth is owned by Golden Lady, s.p.a. an Italian hosiery manufacturer.
