1. Member Registration
To create account/profile, and to access member-only content in your site, your visitors
will sign up using a membership registration form like the one below. You can change the questions on this form
easily and customize it according to your taste.
2. Member Log-in
After creating their account, they will receive a confirmation email with a random password in it.
By default the registration confirmation page allow users to log-in. You can change this behavior by
modifying register_success template. Your users will have instant access to the member area.
3. Member Panel
When a user logs into his/her account, the first page that shows up is called "panel" page.
You can change the contents of this page from the template with the same name.
In this page, you can give details about their membership and guide them about various
things they can do on the their member area.
4. Update Member Details
Update Info page is the page where your users can update their account information.
5. Change Password
Change password page allows your users to modify their password.
6. Member Profile
Profile page shows details about your user. Members can browse each other and view each other's profiles.
You will also be able to give your users easy to remember profile URLs such as http://yourdomain.com/profile/bart.
Profile page also allows members to email each other without actually seeing their real email address.
This is to protect privacy of your users and prevent spam bots from collecting email addresses of your members.
7. Browse Members and Protected Content
Browse tab allows your users to search and browse other members and access to a password
protected folder in your site.
8. Password-Protected Directory
Profile Manager Basic allows you to password protect your content in a folder in your site.
Only members who have been logged in can access these pages. Just create your regular pages and
drop them into your member-only directory.
9. Retrieving Password
If one of your members forgets their password, then can easily retrieve it using "Lost Password"
form in your site. They can enter login name or email address into this form, and their login name and password
will be sent to their email address.
10. Profile Search
Your users or public can search profiles in your site using the search form.
11. Profile Search Results
Search results will look like the screenshot below. This page, like all other pages on PM Basic, is
completely template based, so you can edit it and list any information about your users.
